This week Music City lost one of it’s greatest songwriting advocates, Lorna Flowers. Besides being a hit songwriter, producer, and teacher, Lorna was a rare and humble connector of people – new and experienced, known and unknown, Country and otherwise. Though I cannot say I knew her as well as some – I treasure the rounds we played, discussions we had, and ideas we shared. Reflecting on her life renews my faith in the people of this town and community to ‘stay strong for the song.’ We will never soon forget you, LF.
